Howdy – TSDA Members
It's been a very busy four months into this year. Thirteen trials are in the books, with over 2,000 handlers stepping to the post. Thank you to Linda Spindor and the other trial secretaries who keep this machine moving.

We still have a couple more great events here in the next few weeks, with Frio Draw and Limestone County.  Be sure to support these fantastic trials and their hosts.  The BOD is continuing to work towards adding new venues for fall and hopes to have some educational opportunities over the summer.
Finals Committee: A quick thank you to those members (outside the BOD) who came forward to help with this year's finals: Kay Stephens, Taylor Templat, Jeannie & Kerry Cornelius, Blake Byrum, Michal Bagley, and Lane Hale.  These individuals, as well as the BOD,  are working hard to ensure the 2025 TSDA Championships will be a great event.  If you know anyone who would like to sponsor or donate to the online/silent auction raffles, please forward the information to Taylor Templat or myself.

Rules/Changes Update: If a member has suggestions for TSDA rules that need to be addressed for the following year, please email the Board@texassheepdogassoc.org, and we will be happy to review the concern.

Hall of Fame: We are taking nominations for this 2025 Hall of Fame class. If you need a submission form, please contact Linda or myself, and we will be happy to forward it to you. These nominations need to go to the committee by August 1, 2025.

Other changes: We continue working on the website and entry portal and plan to roll out the new and updated site and features in the next few months. In addition to the website, TSDA will also have an equipment trailer to store and transport the equipment to trial events. The equipment will be available to sanctioned trials with a deposit to ensure all equipment is returned to the association in the same manner it is sent.

Lastly,  as Texas Sheep Dog Association members, I hope we all continue to strive to be good examples to the herding community.  We want TSDA always to be viewed in the best light, bringing together great venues, handlers, and dogs.  We should lead the way in our actions and remember we are in a world where information is shared at a very rapid and expanding rate.  How we represent ourselves is critical to what those outside organizations think of TSDA.  I believe we have the best members, handlers, and dogs in the country, and I want this organization to continue to flourish.  Please help me and the BOD continue building this organization's future.

Best Regards,
Maci
