The trial is in conjunction with the San Antonio Highland Games & Celtic Music Festival.  This is the only Celtic Highland Game in Texas, and only one of few nationally, that hosts an actual sheepdog trial and not just a demo.  People from all over San Antonio and the surrounding areas will come to watch.  Competitors come from all over the US.  The sheepdog trail is one of the most popular events at the games. Thousands of spectators come through the stands each day. The Highland Games Association even has a page for our trial and about “sheep herding.”.  For more information on the San Antonio Highland Games and to see our “sheep herding” page, visit www.sahga.org
