RV Parking for Aggie 1 and Aggie 2:

A couple of years ago I posted on TexasSheepdogs the procedure for reserving an on-campus space for RV parking.  The procedure remains the same:  call 979.862.2551, reserve your date(s), and provide a credit card number.  The difference today is that the cost is $40/night.
In the earlier post, I suggested reserving a spot at Penberthy.  However, Penberthy has become very active (it is actually a parking lot between a student recreation center and a 24-hour tennis complex), and is not as desirable as it once was.  I have since changed my preferred parking to the Equine Center (technically the Thomas G. Hildebrand, DVM ’56 Equine Complex) and have found it a much more pleasant place to park.  It is a huge parking lot with hook-ups around the edges, has several empty grassy acres adjoining it, and is frequently almost vacant.  The primary downside is that it is about three miles from Pierce (although it is still on the Texas A&M campus).
By GPS, the easiest way to find the Equine Center is go to the intersection of FM 2818 and F and B Road (there is a traffic light at the intersection).  Turn north onto F and B, and the parking lot entrance is on the left about a quarter mile from FM 2818.
Parking at the Equine Center is a suggestion, but, if you don’t have a reservation, get on it.  The system is a bit cumbersome as everything is done by mail and takes about 10 days to receive your parking materials.
