for CR 618 at the corner of the post office--it turns north. Turn and go
straight up CR 618. There will be a sign that says "dead end"--ignore
it. Continue up the hill to the closed double gate across the road--our
driveway turns right before you hit the double gate. Do NOT turn on CR
619 where it curves off CR 618--stay straight and go up the hill. You
can see our house from FM 218--just look up the hill behind the post
office...it's a green double wide on top of the hill.
·
If you are pulling a
camper, please watch for an open gate on the right with a “Camper
Parking” sign before you go up the hill—campers will park there. Please
keep fingers crossed for a dry weekend!
·
Pottsville is very small—NO
gas, NO food/ice—closest is Hamilton to the east or Zephyr/Goldthwaite
to the west. |

From downtown Fredericksburg, go west on Main Street to where Hwy 290
and Hwy 87 split. Go left 7.3 miles out Hwy 290 toward Harper. About 6
miles out you will cross Honey Creek and just a little farther you will
cross Honey Creek again. Start watching on the right for Reeh Weinheimer
Rd. It’s on a curve so you have to be watching. Turn right on Reeh
Weinheimer Rd and go 3.1 miles to Weinheimer Rd. Turn right and go 1.8
miles. After the second cattle guard, watch for Sundheimer Rd on your
left. This is a caliche ranch road. Stay on this road until the fourth
gate which is a metal Lifetime gate, about 1 mile in. (don’t turn left
on Mc Iinish rd) This is the entrance to our ranch. Stay on the same
road until you come to another gate on the left. Turn here and follow
around until you see the trial field.

April 2,3, 4 - Normangee, Texas
Bruce Fogt Judging, Handling and Training Clinic
Bruce Fogt, author of "Lessons from a Stockdog", and judge of last
year's National Finals and Blue Grass Classic, has over 30 years of
training and trialling border collies. Bruce is an excellent
instructor and communicator and will work with any level of dog or
handler.
This clinic will be set up for running trial courses at any level,
with Bruce identifying problem areas for the dog or handler and
working on improving those areas. Bruce will discuss judging each
area of the trial course and how to handle to prevent point
deductions. Tips on setting up for tighter turns at the panels,
smoother turns around the post, penning and shedding will be covered.
We can set up courses from novice to open double lift and
international sheds.
Due to format, limited number of dogs/handlers can be accommodated.
Let me know as soon as possible if you are interested.
