  • 2 Days/4 Trials:  Open, Pro-Novice, Nursery (if 5 enters) and Novice - 4 Entry Fees.
    Start Time:  9 am each day.

  • Entry Fees:  $70 all classes.  Payback $40 all dogs.

  • Classes:  Open, Pro Novice, Novice, Nursery.

  • Nursery Class will be a class within the Pro Novice class.  Must have 5 nursery aged dogs to be a USBCHA nursery class.  Entry fee will be the $70.00 TCDA fee plus $4.00 USBCHA qualifying fee.  This is a good chance to qualify nursery dogs for HA National Finals.

  • Bring your own meat and beverages for Saturday night cookout - sides provided.

  • May enter at trial but open entries please call by Thursday 17th for cattle requirements.

  • Buckles all classes for 4 run average - must compete all 4 runs to be eligible.

  • Stock:  2 sets each day - 1 set ropers prospects and 1 set English Cross.

  • Course:  Open field - 150 yard gather, drive, cross drive and obstacles, points & time.

  • USBCHA & TSDA sanctioned.

    8th Annual Iron Dog Challenge – A special custom-designed silver trophy buckle will be awarded to the dog (with same handler) with the highest two day combined point total in all four trials competing in either Pro-Novice Cattle or Open Cattle and in either Open Ranch Sheep or Open Sheep competitions. Dog must compete in all four trials, but does not have to place in all four trials. Nursery points do not count. Dogs entered in any Novice or Ranch classes during the two days are not eligible for this award.
     
    4th Annual Jr. Iron Dog Competition  – A special custom-designed silver trophy buckle will be awarded to the dog (with same handler) with the highest two day combined point total that competes in all four trials in Novice Cattle and either Ranch Sheep or Novice Sheep competitions. To be eligible, a dog (with same handler) must compete in both sheep trials and both cattle trials. Dog must compete in all four trials, but does not have to place in all four trials. Dogs entered in Pro-Novice, Open Ranch or Open classes during the two days are not eligible for this award. More specific rules (including tie-breakers) will be posted at the trial.

  • Two event passes are given with each dog entry.  Those attending who do not have a dog entered will be charged $7 for advanced tickets or $10 at the gate on Saturday.  

  • Concessions on grounds:  BBQ Plate (BBS, potato salad, beans & bread)  BBQ sandwich, Cornbread & Beans, Sausage Wrap, Beans, Cornbread or Potato Salad Separately, Chips, Drinks,  Cup of Ice, Bag of Ice.

  • Friday:  RV Check-in, Friday 3:00 - 7:00 pm, $25 for electrical (20 & 30 amp available) and water hook-ups available, 23 sites.

  • Saturday:  Bluegrass music begins 10:00 am, 10:30 - 2:30 Agility demonstrations and Fun Matches.,  11:00 Lunch, 2:30, Temple Police Canine Unit Demonstration.  3:00  Temple Fire Dept , fire engine rides and photo opportunities with their Dalmations.  9:00 Bluegrass music ends.
