Trial Canceled

It has been a very difficult decision to make, but I have decided to cancel the Top of the Hill trial for this year. Based on the current condition of the road and the possibility of some rain next week, I just don't feel it is I can take the risk of damaging the road (it is a private road belonging to several other landowners also) or worse someone having an accident. It has just been a wet year with no  end in  sight!!

I enjoy hosting my trial and having each of you attend. We will do it again next year.

After the second cattle guard, watch for Sundheimer Rd on your left. This is a caliche ranch road. Stay on this road until the fourth gate which is a metal Lifetime gate, about 1 mile in. April 2,3, 4 - Normangee, Texas

Bruce Fogt Judging, Handling and Training Clinic

Bruce Fogt, author of "Lessons from a Stockdog", and judge of last year's National Finals and Blue Grass Classic, has over 30 years of training and trialling border collies. Bruce is an excellent instructor and communicator and will work with any level of dog or handler.

This clinic will be set up for running trial courses at any level, with Bruce identifying problem areas for the dog or handler and working on improving those areas.  Bruce will discuss judging each area of the trial course and how to handle to prevent point deductions. Tips on setting up for tighter turns at the panels, smoother turns around the post, penning and shedding will be covered. We can set up courses from novice to open double lift and international sheds.

Due to format, limited number of dogs/handlers can be accommodated. Let me know as soon as possible if you are interested.
