Finals Update - September 5

The Finals Committee has been working hard this summer!  Here are a few updates:

Entries open Friday, September 8.  Entry fees are $95, same as last year.  Entries are online.

The Awards Banquet will be catered by Big Smith's BBQ.  The cost is $10 per person, please RSVP and send payment with your entry fees to Linda no later than October 10.  We must have an accurate headcount to give to the caterer.

Marianna Schreeder will judge the Open and Nursery classes and will be joined by Jimmy Walker for the Double Lift.  Charles Williams will judge the Open Ranch, Ranch and Novice classes.

Sheep are being provided by Chad Raines in Lamesa.  We will have 250 Dorper cross, yearling ewe lambs.

Terry Laplatt and Tara Fournet will be doing the set out.

We need volunteers for pen help. 

Concessions will be provided by the Beta Club of Sulphur Bluff.  Please support these young people as they raise money for their school projects.  Snacks for handlers will be provided in the hospitality tent on each field.

Laura Glass is chairing our Silent Auction which will open on Wednesday, Nov 8..  Please plan to drop off your donation to Laura.

If you won a perpetual trophy last year, please bring it to the tent or give to Jeri.

The veterinarian on call will be Hopkins County Vet Clinic (903) 885-0085.

Michal Bagley is coordinating for scribes and course directors.  Please contact her to pick your time.

We are very grateful to our many generous sponsors and are still actively seeking more.  Please contact Linda or Jeri if you or someone you know would like to help.  We will also be doing handler/dog sponsors again this year, the cost of which is $100.

Coming soon:  Linda Spindor is hosting an online Pampered Chef party with profits to go to the Finals.  More info as we have it but plan to shop and share the info with your friends.
